Papeete: the market (Marche) is only worth doing on Sunday mornings, and extremely early at that (by 6am).

Moorea: very beautiful island and lagoon with lots to do. But not a happy place.

Huahine: as stated, the hidden gem of F.P. Suggest skipping the “international resort” and finding a pensione on the beach. Not only will it cost you 1/4 the price, but you’ll have the feeling that you’ve been somewhere other than another Americanized hotel.
